HOLLY BERRY BOUQUET CARD

Here is another make 'n take we did at my recent open house:

Holly Berry Bouquet

Peace, Love & Joy Christmas Card

  1. Take your Chocolate Chip cardstock and score at 4-1/4" on the brand new Simply Scored Tool  from Stampin' Up!
  2. Fold your card with the fold at the left hand side.  Flat tape the Certain Celery cardstock to the card front with Snail Adhesive.
  3. Take the designer paper and flat tape to the Chocolate Chip mat.  Flat tape this to the card front about 1/2" from the folded edge.
  4. Stamp "Peace, Love, Joy" in the upper right hand corner of your card, on the Certain Celery mat with Chocolate Chip Ink.
  5. Take the pine cone stamp and color it with the Stampin' Write Markers.  Color the pine cones with Chocolate Chip; the berries with Cherry Cobbler; the rest with Certain Celery.  Now add a bit of shading to the holly leaves with Pear Pizazz marker.  Huff on the stamp to make the inks moist and stamp on the small Whisper White piece of cardstock.
  6. Punch out your stamped image with the 1-1/2" Circle Punch.  Flat tape this to the Cherry Cobbler Scallop Circle.
  7. Flat tape this to the larger Certain Celery Scallop and then mount this to the large Chocolate Chip Circle using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  8. Mount this entire piece to the card front as seen on the sample with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  9. Tie the quilted Expresso Ribbon into a bow and mount between the stamped greeting and the mounted pinecone image using a Mini Dot
  10. Your done!  Great job!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

Counting today, there are only 7 days left to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s recruiting special.  For just $105 you can start saving money on all your orders and allow your stamping and scrapbooking to become a source of income.

It can be a difficult thing to explain all the many benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator but I can tell you that the benefits are numerous.  The company recently finished their annual convention and I thought I'd share some pictures and a great newspaper article about it so you could understand just how far reaching Stampin' Up! is.  This was a newspaper article that was written by a local newspaper in Utah, regarding the recent gathering of over 3,000 demonstrators.  Take a moment to read it and be sure to look at the many comments that demonstrators made about this year's convention.

NEW MAKE 'N TAKES FOR JANUARY 2009 CLASSES

Today I felt just a little inspired to play...but then I pretty much play everyday in my Stamping Room.  Who says adults can't play??  This has got to be the best job in the world... stamp, stamp, scrapbook and then stamp!  Here are the cards that I created and we will be making these at a workshop I'm doing tomorrow night.

EMBRACE LIFE CARDThis is a very simple matchbook card which was completed using Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstock, along with the Green Tea designer paper.  The stamp set used was "Embrace Life".  I created the scallop circle with the BIG SHOT die, Scallops #2, and punched out the Whisper White circle using a 2 - 3/4 " round punch.

The bottom of the card was scored at 3/4" and then stapled.  I hid the staples with buttons from the Button Boutique collection.

Images were stamped with Certainly Celery Classic ink and then colored using a Blender Pen and the Baja Breeze Classic Ink.

  THANKS CARD

This card is created using Going Gray and Riding Hood Red cardstock.  Perhaps the gray sky today, which is about to end in a snow storm inspired me!

Designer paper is from the Red Riding Hood set.  I stamped the "Thanks" twice, from the"Only Ovals Stampset.  I used the second image to cut out the "Thanks" bar and popped it with a dimensional on to the first stamped oval.  The oval punches cut perfectly using the Wide Oval punch.

On the Riding Hood Red mat, I adhered the disigner paper to the top and then wrapped the striped grosgrain ribbon around to the back.  The oval was attached usin two silver brads.  For balance I added the Silver Filagree Brad with another silver eyelet.  All four corners of the card were punched with the Ticket Corner punch.  I adhered the mat to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you are from Nova Scotia and about to get snowed in.... these are some simple cards for you to try.  Happy Stampin' Everyone!
