HAPPY EASTER ALL! GUESS WHAT'S NEW???

POCKET VALENTINE CARD

I made 11 of these cards for a swap I'm doing with other Canadians who belong to U Stamp with Dawn & Friends, Love 2010.  I wanted to do something with the treat cup and this is what I came up with.  Back to one of my old faithful color palettes of Whisper White, Real Red, and Basic Black.

To create this card I cut a piece of Real Red Textured cardstock and scored it at 5 - 1/2", 9",10" and 11".  The last three scores form the pocket and the little band that the ribbon is attached to.  That way the ribbon is completely concealed on the inside of the card within a fold of cardstock.  This makes it easier if you would like to put something in the pocket/

All the images were stamped using the Sweetheart Stamp Set which is made to co-ordinate with the Full Heart Punch and the Heart Treat Cups.  The hearts in the pocket were also punched out using the Full Heart Punch.  I filled the little cup with Cinnamon Hearts which look so cute! 

I love using the cups because they are so easy, with there peel and stick construction.  Be sure to ask me to demo one for you when you drop in for a class.

5. Peel off adhesive cover and adhere Heart Treat Cup to a second square of Whisper White card stock to seal the cup.
6. Punch scallops from Real Red textured card stock with Scallop Edge punch. Adhere scallops to back of Whisper White square.
7. Adhere Whisper White square to card.
