THURSDAY'S THOUGHTS ON TECHNIQUES

One of the things I have always loved to play with are our Stampin' Pastels.  They really are such a great coloring tool and of course the big bonus of owning a set is that you have every color available in one neet little package.  Did you know that if you have a set of the Pastels in the old colors that you can purchase a new Colour Kit for just $18.95?  This will update your existing pastels with all the new fantastic colors.

In our next Hostess Club we will be featuring how to use the Stampin' Pastels.  Here are the cards that I created for the class:

BLENDED CHALKS

The first card is a cute little baby card made with the BRAND NEW stamp set, "Baby Bundle" which has 16 delightful stamps included.  This cute little carriage was stamped with Early Expresson Classic ink and then coloured using a Blender Pen and chalks.  Baja Breeze and Pretty in Pink make the perfect combination for the new little bundle, don't you think?

CHALKED BORDERS

This is another soft and delicate card created by sponging chalk with a cotton ball all around the border of the Specialty paper PRESTO PATTERNS.  You can see how the Diamond pattern in the paper resists the chalk to reveal the beautiful pattern.  I then stamped the image using markers and stamps from the Watercolor Trio.   The color palette for this card includes Wild Wasabi and Blushing Bride.  I'm just loving all the new colors to play with aren't you?  The colors are all so rich and vibrant.  Love them all!
