NEW MAKE 'N TAKES FOR JANUARY 2009 CLASSES
Today I felt just a little inspired to play...but then I pretty much play everyday in my Stamping Room. Who says adults can't play?? This has got to be the best job in the world... stamp, stamp, scrapbook and then stamp! Here are the cards that I created and we will be making these at a workshop I'm doing tomorrow night.
This is a very simple matchbook card which was completed using Baja Breeze and Whisper White cardstock, along with the Green Tea designer paper. The stamp set used was "Embrace Life". I created the scallop circle with the BIG SHOT die, Scallops #2, and punched out the Whisper White circle using a 2 - 3/4 " round punch.
The bottom of the card was scored at 3/4" and then stapled. I hid the staples with buttons from the Button Boutique collection.
Images were stamped with Certainly Celery Classic ink and then colored using a Blender Pen and the Baja Breeze Classic Ink.
This card is created using Going Gray and Riding Hood Red cardstock. Perhaps the gray sky today, which is about to end in a snow storm inspired me!
Designer paper is from the Red Riding Hood set. I stamped the "Thanks" twice, from the"Only Ovals Stampset. I used the second image to cut out the "Thanks" bar and popped it with a dimensional on to the first stamped oval. The oval punches cut perfectly using the Wide Oval punch.
On the Riding Hood Red mat, I adhered the disigner paper to the top and then wrapped the striped grosgrain ribbon around to the back. The oval was attached usin two silver brads. For balance I added the Silver Filagree Brad with another silver eyelet. All four corners of the card were punched with the Ticket Corner punch. I adhered the mat to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
If you are from Nova Scotia and about to get snowed in.... these are some simple cards for you to try. Happy Stampin' Everyone!
