MONDAY'S MARVELOUS PROJECT - BERRY CHRISTMAS CARD

It's Monday already!  What happened to the weekend?

Today's card is for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and was created using the Berry Christmas stamp set and the Christmas Cocoa designer paper.  I love the color palette of Real Red, Whisper White and Soft Suede.

MAKE MERRY CARD

This is one of the stamp sets from the new Holiday Mini catalogue that you will be able to purchase starting tomorrow.  Isn't that exciting news?!!

This card is a simple stamping only, no techniques card.  For embellishments the design includes ribbon, crystals, photo corner punch and scallop circle die cut.  The stamp set is adoarable and contains 8 images in total.  Such a great set to create wreaths using the smaller images.

Let me know what you think and try the Mojo Sketch for yourself!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

Counting today, there are only 7 days left to take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s recruiting special.  For just $105 you can start saving money on all your orders and allow your stamping and scrapbooking to become a source of income.

It can be a difficult thing to explain all the many benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator but I can tell you that the benefits are numerous.  The company recently finished their annual convention and I thought I'd share some pictures and a great newspaper article about it so you could understand just how far reaching Stampin' Up! is.  This was a newspaper article that was written by a local newspaper in Utah, regarding the recent gathering of over 3,000 demonstrators.  Take a moment to read it and be sure to look at the many comments that demonstrators made about this year's convention.

Convention 3

1000's of samples to see.......

and numerous new products realeased!!

Next year I want to go to convention!  Next year I want to take other demonstrators with me!  There has never been a better time to take the plunge and become a demonstrator.  Here's what you will get in your start up kit:

FRIDAY'S FABULOUS STAMP SET - YULETIDE CHRISTMAS

Blog Widget by LinkWithin

Today I'm giving you a sneek peek at one of the NEW stamp sets that is beig released in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalogue.  Wait until you see this Mini; it's absolutely fabulous!  This stamp set is called Yuletide Christmas and features 5 stamps.  Tody's projects will feature 3 of them.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WREATH

This layout was the Mojo Monday challenge on Tuesday of this week.  They are having a new layout every day this week in celebration of their 100th Mojo Monday Contest!  The color palette for this card is  Rose Red, Whisper White, and Brushed Silver.  I stamped the wreath with Versamark Ink and embossed with Sivler Embossing Powder.  The Merry Christmas greeting was stamped with Classic Rose Red ink, cut out and mounted in the middle of the wreath.  Designer paper is from the Thoroughly Modern Collection.  For embellishments I chose the Organdy/Satin White ribbon and 3 Swarvoski crystals.  I've never really tried Rose Red for Christmas before and I have to say I love how it looks with the Silver.

For my second act......ha ha......here's the card!

SLEIGH RIDE CARD

I love this stamp!  I chose the same color palette and embellishments but switched up the design.  This started out to be the Mojo challenge for Wednesday with a few Cindy twists!  I stamped the image in Basic Grey and colored it with markers and a crystal clear gel pen to add some sparkle.  It's a little difficult to see this in the photo but in person it adds just the right touch.  I like how the image is framed just by using our Wide Oval Punch.  Just a little extra tip for you is how I get my bows to lay flat.  On the tails of the bows I put a Mini Glue Dot and adhere them to the card.  That way they aren't moving in the process of placing the card in an envelope.

Hope you enjoyed today's post.  Leave a comment and I'll send you a full set of instructions, just for asking!

WEDNESDAY'S WONDERFUL PRODUCT - UNDER $12 STAMP SETS

One of the great new ideas that Stampin' Up! has come up with is a whole page of stamps that are under $12 in price.  You will find these on page 208 of your 2009-2010 catalogue.  They may be small but the ideas and possiblilites for each set are endless!  For the next few Wednesday's I'm going to be featuring these sets.

Today we are going to take a look at the Minin Note Kit, "Take Your Place".

Take your place

This small kit contains everything you need to create cute cards in a few minutes. They’re perfect for beginning stampers, and they make a great gift. With this kit you can complete 8 cards sized at 3-7/8 x 2-3/4.  The kit includes two stamps that are double mounted on one block, pre-cut and scored Very Vanilla gift cards with matching envelopes, and a Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Spot ink pad.

These are the perfect size to make place cards at your next festive table.  The first stamped image is a fall theme with acorns and leaves on swirls.  The second is perfect for a Christmas Table complete with tiny trees and sparkling snow.

I decorated these tiny images by simply coloring them with Sakura Stardust Sparkling Gel Pens.  These are such a great products and add sparkle to just about anything without heat guns, glue or any other products.  These pens flow like velvet and I love using them to get an embossed and sparkling bling look without the fuss.

ACORN TAG-1

I stamped the acorns and leaves image on some Natural White Card stock and then colored with Copper Metallic and Clear Sparkle pens from Sakura.  There is lots of white space at the top of the place card to add a name later.  This piece was matted on a piece of Bronze Sparkle Cardstock from last catalogue and then mounted on the Really Rust card stock.

TAKE YOUR PLACE TAG

This cute little design is literally a 2 minute project.  I simply stamped the image in Basic Grey Classic Ink and then colored it with sparkle pens.  The colors matched our new In Colors, Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo so I decided to go with the more modern combination for this adorable place card.  Again there is lots of white space to add a name for your festive table.

I think the price is great for this kit, only $11.75.  This would make a great stocking stuffer or a nice thank you gift fo a special somebody.  To order yours follow this link: "Take Your Place".

MONDAY'S MARVELOUS PROJECT - AUTUMN DAYS MOJO CARD

I can't believe that it is Monday already!  The time just seems to be flying by.  For today's project  I'm sharing another card I made for the Mojo challenge.  This card is all about fall!  I have used the Autumn Days stamp set and the designer paper from the Holiday Mini called, Autumn Meadows.  This paper has a gorgeous color palette of Real Rust, Taken with Teal, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla and More Mustard.

Here's my card:

EMBOSSED PHEASANT CARD

To create the pheasant image I first layered the pieces together and then I stamped the pheasant with a Versamark Ink Pad and embossed it with Copper Pearl embossing powder.  The wheat was then stamped with Chocolate Chip Classic Ink.  The embossed pheasant resisted this ink so there was no need to mask the pheasant.  Lastly I sponged some Real Rust on the bottom of the piece to create the illusion of a horizon.  For embellishments I used Chocolate Chip ribbon and tiny copper brads.

FRIDAY'S FABULOUS STAMP SET - DREAM GARDENS

Today I'm featuring the Dream Gardens Stamp Set which is found on page 104 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalogue.  I love this set and the Asian style that it so beautifully embraces.  Here's some card samples for you to see how versatile this set can be.  The original designs came from Sandi MacIver who is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in the USA.  I have taken some creative license and added or made some small changes.

KIMONO CARD

CHINEESE LANTERN CARD

I will be using this stamp set in our next product of the month club.  Be sure to check out the class details and the rest of the projects as they are really quite beautiful.  I love the color palette of Old Olive, Not Quite Navy and Vanilla as well as the beautiful Elementary Ribbons and the Bella Bleu designer papers.

WEDNESDAY'S WONDERFUL PRODUCT - CRUSHED CURRY DESIGNER PAPER

This is another card that was one of the August Make 'N Takes.  I love how the colors on this particular card are such a nice combination for fall.  I guess I'm in the wrong season as usual.  Of course you have to realize my favorite season is fall!

CIRCLE CIRCUS CARD

I also love how our designer papers all match so perfectly.  This is the Crushed Curry Patterns Designer Paper.  As always I had to have a few crystals for that little bit of sparkle.  The stamp set used is Circle Circus and the greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes greeting set which believe me covers it all!

TUESDAY'S TERRIFIC TIP - MOJO MONDAY SKETCHES

I love when I discover a new stamping site that has great scrapbook layouts or card sketches.  I found a wonderful place which has lots of great sketches for all your card layouts!  Not only does it provide a sketch but gorgeous samples and a chance to enter a contest each week with your own example of the sketch.

Check it out!

Here's my version of this week's sketch:

HELLO FRIEND 1

I created this using papers from the WRITE STUFF SPECIALTY PAPER and a palette of Soft Suede and Crushed Curry.  The greeting is from the CHIT CHAT RUB ONS and the card was embellshed with the Crushed Curry Polka dotted ribbon and the Summer Sun Corduroy Button.
