FRIDAY'S FABULOUS STAMP SET - KIND & CARING THOUGHTS

Today's featured stamp set is a Hostess Level III set from the new catalog.  The set includes 3 flower images, 3 Greetings and 6 Sentiments for the inside of your card, that's 12 images in all!  The first card I made has a palette of Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry.  Don't the new colors sound so delicious!!!

BEST WISHES CARD

The design of this card is very simplistic.  Here are the directions:

  • Cut a standard 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" Soft Suede card and score at 4-1/4".  Fold should be at the top.
  • Stamp the Scalloped image from the Circle Circus Stamp Set in Soft Suede classic ink
  • Using your 1-1/4" Circle punch, punch out the center circle of the stamped image
  • Punch out a 1-1/2" circle of Dusty Durango Card Stock
  • Stamp the small flower image in the center of the circle
  • Accent the open areas of this flower with a glaze pen and allow to dry
  • Open to the inside of your card and apply some small bits of Snail Adhesive around the punched circle edge
  • Adhere your stamped circle over the hole so that your flower is in the center and is visible from the front side of the card
  • Next cut a piece of Crushed Curry card stock 4-1/2 x 2-1/2"
  • Punch a Scallop circle about 3/4" from the bottom of the piece and then adhere it to the card front making sure your scallop circle is aligned around your original stamped scallop.  It should be flush to the right hand side of the card
  • Now trim off the excess card stock from the top and bottom
  • Cut a 4-1/4 x 1" piece of Dusty Durango and punch one long edge with the Eyelet Border punch
  • Adhere to the card front making the straight edge flush with the Crushed Curry piece
  • Stamp the larger flower image with Soft Suede in, on the Soft Suede portion on the left hand side of the card as shown
  • Stamp "Best Wishes" on the Crushed Curry card stock centering between the scalloped flower ant the top of the card

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CARD

This card is done with the color palette of Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla.  Don't you just love the new polka-dot ribbon?  Here are the directions:

  • Cut a standard 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" Rich Razzleberry card and score at 4-1/4".  Fold should be at the top.
  • Cut a piece of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer paper 5-1/4 x 3" and adhere to the card front near the bottom and centering left to right
  • Using the Wide Oval punch punch out an oval on the bottom left of the card as shown.
  • Take a sponge and sponge the edges of the cut out oval with a bit of Rich Razzleberry ink
  • Cut a 2 inch square of Very Vanilla card stock and glue on the inside bottom of the card so that it shows through the oval window
  • Stamp the greeting of your choice, with Rich Razzleberry ink,  through the Oval window on to the Very Vanilla making sure it is centered.  I used "Happy Anniversary" from the new Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which has 24 different greetings!
  • Cut out a 1-3/4" square of Very Vanilla
  • Using Rich Razzleberry ink, stamp the large flower image in the center and then accent it with a clear sparkle gel pen
  • Lightly sponge the piece with some Rich Razzleberry ink and then mount on a Rich Razzleberry 2" square of card stock
  • Adhere to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Wrap a piece of the Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon around the card front centering over the seam where the designer paper and card stock meet
  • Adhere in place using Snail adhesive.  Make sure your seam is just above your stamped flower
  • Cut another 4" piece of ribbon and tie a knot in the center of it.  Trim the edges of either end and then adhere to the seam in your first piece of ribbon using a Mini glue dot
