WORLD CARD MAKING DAY

I think it's wonderful that there is actually a day set aside for stamping enthusiasts.  I have a special event going on where you will be able to complete 18 cards using the Simply Sent Card Elements Kit "Handmade Holiday".  I love the colros in this kit: Ruby Red, Mellow Moss, and Kraft.  Add to that 3 exclusive Designer Papers and 2 full sheets of die cut adhesive stickers.  The kit comes with full instructions to make 3 different designs, however those of you who know me, know that I hardly ever make the same card twice!  Sooooooo.....I've come come with 18 different designs including the 3 provided designs.  I also have added embellishments for that extra pizzazz!

Well I'm going to start a brand new group....a CARD CROP!  Many of you have mentioned to me that you have so many supplies that you never use.  Either you have no time, or too many distratcions or you just don't know how to use your purchases.  Then of course there are the beautiful cards you made in class but can't duplicate them because you can't remember how you did them.

At my card crop you can bring all your questions, your tools, your papers whatever you want and trust me, we will make cards!  I'd love to help you get to work with all those goodies that are collecting dust in your closet or desk.  What a great time to get an early start on your Christmas Cards.

HAPPINESS ALWAYS CARDS

NANCY'S HAPPINESS ALWAYS CARD

Last night at our downline meeting, Nancy brought this Happiness Always card for her shoebox swap.  I don't have this stamp set, but now I want it!  There's something about the art work that just makes stamped images come to life.

She was kind enough to loan me her set for a few days.  Isn't it so fun to just play with a new set!  I don't think I had tried out Chocolate Chip with Almost Amethyst before but I really like it.  Chocolate is so popular these days and seems to work so well with so many of Stampin' Up's great palette of colors.

Of course when you are a true stamping addict such as myself, one card just doesn't cut it!  So here are the two cards I came up with.  One card does borrow her great idea of embossing the image, and then punching out just a circle of it to layer on the scallop punched mat.  The other card is just multiple images of the flowers, leaves and stems to create a garden of flowers.  Again the Amethyst goes so nicely with the Chocolate Chip.

If you like these images then be sure to ask me how you can get this beautiful stamp set for free!  It is only available to hostesses that have a qualifying get together with their friends, at my home or yours.  I'd be delighted to help you attain this stamp set absolutely free!  Contact me today to let the Stamping begin!

THE NO STAMPING CHALLENGE

Today I decided to make a card that had no ink, and no stamping!  It was a great opportunity to use all the great accents, elements and embellishments that Stampin' Up! has to offer.  These are the products that I used: Flower Fusion Too, True Elegance and Hodgepodge Hardware all found from page 182 to 185 in the new Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalogue.  Here is my result!

Now here's my challenge!  Make a card and either mail it to me, or email a photo to me.  The card must have no ink or no stamping on it.  I will open up a file on my blog and save the results.  If I get enough interest, I'll have everyone vote and give a prize to the winner.  HAPPY NO STAMPING!
